Train
Hildenborough is well connected to London on the railway network, and it is possible to travel direct to the following destinations:
- London: Charing Cross, Waterloo East, and London Bridge (during peak hours some direct services to Cannon Street) via Sevenoaks (some trains also all at Chelsfield in peak hours or Orpington in the off-peak)
- South West Kent and East Sussex: Hastings and Tunbridge Wells

Bus
Hildenborough has a limited bus service so it important to check bus times for all intended journeys.
The nearest bus stop is in Hildenborough village by the church, which is a pleasant half mile walk away. Older travellers can travel on buses free of charge – see information from Kent County Council to see whether you qualify. A summary of the routes is given below:
- 204: Tonbridge – Hildenborough – Underriver
- 210: Tonbridge – Hildenborough – Leigh – Chiddingstone Causeway
- 202: Tonbridge Local Service – Hildenborough
- 401 (Sunday only): Tonbridge – Hildenborough – Sevenoaks – Westerham
- 402: (Monday to Saturday) Tunbridge Wells – Southborough – Tonbridge – Hildenborough – Sevenoaks – Dunton Green
Cycling
Hildenborough and its environs have many beautiful cycling routes so look out for cyclists in the country lanes. There is motorcycle and cycle parking at the station.
Car
There are several car parks near Hildenborough station, as well as some free on street parking for those who are early. Local car parks include:
- Hildenborough station car park: the official car park at the station run by APCOA is the closest but not the cheapest. Payment is via an app, or at a station ticket machine. Discounted season tickets, and discounted afternoon/evening parking, are available.
- Philpots Allotments: just up the hill from the station on the opposite side of the road – details of parking costs are given on the website.
- Hilden Park Golf and Leisure Centre: the golf club/gym car park towards the bottom of Rings Hill (at the top end of the golf club/gym site) – options here include a block of 10×1 day vouchers, monthly by Direct Debit, or annual by cheque or bank transfer (contact: hildencarpark@gmail.com).
