Our 2018 Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday 31 May at 19:30 in the Vauxhall Room of the Angel Centre in central Tonbridge.
As part of the formal business of the AGM, Chairman John Reynolds gave a report highlighting several successes and challenges over the past year, including around the timetable in the next South Eastern franchise. The members of the committee were also re-elected in their current roles.
We then heard from the following speakers:
- Chris Vinson (Senior External Communications Manager) and Ross Balcombe (Head of Engineering Compliance) from Southeastern
- Tom Tugendhat MP
- Alex Hellier from Network Rail’s Strategic Planning Team
Questions to speakers included points about fares, connectivity to Gatwick Airport, recent problems with train toilets and the policy of running trains short of carriages during the roll out of on board wifi. The meeting was well attended and we look forward to booking a larger room next year!
